At the age of 91 years old, Wess McIntosh, a Royal Canadian Air Force veteran of the Second World War decided to write his memoirs. In this self-published book, edited by Tom Douglas, McIntosh tells many amazing and interesting anecdotes about his life. The first run of this book sold 200 copies, needing another 200 to be order immediately. Wess, now 92, lives in Oakville, Ontario where he walks, bicycles, and swims daily.

Recently the Ancestors In The Attic television program on History Television featured two episodes based on local students researching Oakville men killed during World War 2. One episode featured Major Gordon Slater and one featured Petty Officer Peter Barnicke.
